Hyvinkään Hevossairaala is a 20 stall purpose built facility that provides a full range of state of the art surgery, medicine and emergency care facilities for the Finnish horse community. Stalling for horses includes a 5 stall intensive care unit and a separate, dedicated isolation facility in the main building. The intensive care unit is capable of providing care for animals ranging from new born foals to adults. The dedicated isolation facility allows separation of horses with potentially contagious diseases from the main hospital population. General inpatients are housed in a separate 12 stall barn.
The primary goal of the hospital is to provide a state of the art facility with the highest standards of patient care. The hospital is equipped with the latest in diagnostic imaging technology with digital radiography, ultrasound, videoendoscopy and scintigraphy. It is also equipped with in house laboratory services specifically designed to provide rapid results in emergency settings. The hospital runs a 24 hour hospital based emergency service for owners and referring veterinarians. It is fully equipped to deal with all aspects of equine emergencies.
